For the ninth straight year in baseball and sixth year in softball, The Hit Zone has partnered with the Marblehead Recreation Dept. as well as players from the Marblehead Magicians High School Baseball & Softball Teams for two clinics. These programs are designed to give young players the opportunity to fine tune their skills under the guidance of collegiate and high school players and coaches. Attendees will learn how to improve their game through drill work that the staff has used throughout their playing and coaching careers. The clinic will feature different teaching tools including: Tee Work, Soft Toss Drills, Bunting Drills, Batting Cage Work, and Sliding Drills on our Sliding Matt. There will also be base-running work (players will be timed) and individual defensive work by position, including pitching work with the Radar gun. All of these drills are designed to help improve your player's game while having fun.Space is very limited so don't wait to sign up - do it now. Sign up NOW
Gatchell's fields are perfectly suited for outdoor baseball and softball training. There are four full fields as well as a turf practice area that has two fully enclosed batting cages.
Only $135.00 for participants for 5 days of full instruction from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
All care and precaution will be given to each player by our on-staff trainer. The Hit Zone’s trainers are all certified and are qualified in CPR and First Aid. In the past our trainers have been Courtney Oak, Lisa Dupuis, and Jen Wasylak.

If you wish to bring your own equipment, such as a helmet or bat, you may do so, but please mark all of your equipment. Equipment tends to look alike and The Hit Zone cannot be responsible for lost equipment. The Hit Zone will provide bats, balls, batting helmets, and catching equipment for the players.
It is also recommended, although not required, that ball players bring batting gloves to protect their hands from blisters that may develop from the number of swings taken.
